I. Project Overview The Jiuzhou Avenue elevated expressway project is connected to the Chaoyang Bridge in the west, along the south Taohuahe-Shuichang Road-Xianghu-Hefang West Road path, and the urban elevated expressway project in the east to Hongdu Avenue. The length of the course is about 6km. After the completion of the project, it will ease the traffic pressure in the current central urban area, improve the outstanding traffic congestion on the roads in the old urban areas such as Hongcheng Road, Hongdu Avenue, Jinggangshan Avenue, accelerate the construction of linear urban roads, and improve the reasonable urban transportation network system.

The project starts from the interchange of the east bridgehead of Chaoyang Bridge in the west and Hongdu Avenue in the east. Among them, the viaduct section is adopted to the west of Xianghu Lake, and the viaduct + ground auxiliary section is adopted to the east of Xianghu Lake. 6km, width 25m, area of about 150,000 m2, ground auxiliary road length of about 1.8km, width of 16m, area of about 28,800 m2, 3 interchanges across the entire line, namely Taohua Road Interchange Interchange, Yingbin Avenue Diamond Interchange, Hongdu Avenue- Jinggangshan Avenue-Sandian West Road Interchange Assembly.

Significance of the project construction The main road project of Jiuzhou Avenue and the Chaoyang Bridge run through Chaoyang New City, Hongjiaozhou District, and Chengnan District, both of which are development areas along the river and key development areas of the city “westward and southward extension”. Guide and decompose the population pressure in the old city and reduce the status quo of infrastructure overload, expand the urban framework, expand the urban space, and put Nanchang's urban construction on a benign and sustainable development track.
